Barcelona is the host of some of the best talents in the game. Pedri and Gavi are both regular starters for the Spain National Team in the World cup. Pedri recently appeared in an exclusive interview with El Partidazo de COPE.
Reporter Juanma Castaño interviewed the young budding midfielder after the scintillating debut against Costa Rica in which Spain’s National team won seven nil. In the interview, Pedri expressed his views about the first match.
“When in a game you touch the ball 300 times, you enjoy and if you score the goals you have, much more. In the first five minutes, I knew we were playing a great game and that we were going to win.”
Pedri on: Playing here versus playing for FC Barcelona is completely different;
“We have a different nuance, at Barça we stay more between the lines, where we can make more goals and assists but here, we touch the ball much more.”
Pedri on Enrique;
“He is a spectacular coach, he knows very well what he has to do and transmits it to us in a way that we believe, because of how he says it.”
Pedri on Gavi’
“He is a troublemaker, like in the field. I always tell him where he was going but he always goes to everything and has fun. I don’t get into fights, I’m calmer and I prefer to have the ball.”

Pedri also hinted that he would love to see Marco Asensio play for FC Barcelona. The Spanish international’s contract is set to expire next summer. earlier reports suggested that he would most likely move as a free agent. However, in recent times it is reported that the club is close to reaching an agreement with the player.
Asensio has, however, left the doors open for a move to Camp Nou.
