Barcelona might not be done with the transfer window at this moment also. The club is planning on more players to come in and more to depart the club. Jules Kounde is now registered in la Liga at just about the perfect time. The club plays Valladolid at home this Sunday and will be looking to pick up a win at the Camp Nou. As for management activities, 3 players are looking to depart from the club at the end of this window. Those 3 players are Memphis Depay, Aubameyang, and Sergino Dest.
Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel are eyeing Aubameyang. The Blues have made it clear that they need a top-class No. 9. Aubameyang tops that list and it looks like he will be joining Chelsea very soon. Personal terms are in full agreement long ago but the 2 clubs have still not agreed to a fee. Barcelona values Aubameyang highly and will not listen to offers not matching his valuation. Xavi made it clear that Aubameyang cannot leave under any circumstances but the financial side of the transfer makes it lucrative.
As for Depay, he agreed on contract termination with Barcelona a week ago. Juventus were very close to signing him as a free agent and personal terms were close to an agreement. But Juventus saw Depay’s demands to be too high and thought to look after other options in the market. Depay always made it clear that he will leave the club only for a top club in any other country. Currently, Manchester United are looking to add Depay to their bolstering attack with Ten Hag a big fan of him.
Is Sergino Dest left out again?
One player whose future looks the most insecure is Sergino Dest. The 21-year-old came from Ajax last season and had a rough start at Camp Nou. He had some brilliant performances and others that were not up to the standards. One thing that looks clear is that Dest does not have a future in Barcelona. This is what Xavi feels about leaving Dest out of the Barca squad almost every match day.
The club are looking in the market for a right back. Hamari Traore and Juan Foyth are the names on the table. But for this to happen, departures have to take place. At this moment, Braithwaite and Aubameyang look set to leave but the no information about Depay and Dest.
