Meanwhile, this time the deal collapsed as soon as PSG received the offer.

Di Maria and his life in PSG

Di Maria has become a really important part of the French outlet. Having 18 appearances, providing 5 assists and, scoring 3 along the way in all competitions this season. Having even more impressive stats overall with 282 total appearances and 91 goals and 115 assists. No wonder a European heavyweight like Barcelona came calling for the 33-year-old.

With only a year left on his contract, the future of Di Maria becomes more and more interesting. The duration of this game of keep-away played by Barcelona and PSG remains to be seen.

The complex situation of Dembele and Barcelona

With Dembele, Barca faces a complicated situation. With the club president Laporta going on to say

“We made him a very good renewal offer,” said Laporta during a press conference on Tuesday.

“The player said no, first alleging that it was not a money issue, but then he focused on the economic aspect. The agent did not tell us anything and that has consequences for the club.

Having an agreement in place with an English club, the world cup still refused to move. Dembele’s lack of professionalism is no surprise, with him having done the same with Borussia Dortmund earlier on in his career. The world cup winner is now destined to leave Barcelona in the summer.
