Barcelona to turn complete focus on Bernardo Silva

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Barcelona has finally registered all their players except for Jules Kounde ahead of the new signing. Kounde’s registration was not prioritized since he is returning from an injury. The registration was possible only after the successful activation of the fourth lever.

Joan Laporta, while addressing the media before the season opener, said;

“We hope to see an exit for Kounde’s registration to complete.”

Barcelona has also agreed on terms with Chelsea to sign Alonso. But the official confirmation will only arrive when the boards make way to register him, which is expected to be next week.

As part of the outgoings, Memphis Depay is in final talks with Juventus. Memphis is looking to seal a move to Juventus only through a letter of freedom from the Blaugrana. According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea is also planning to initiate talks this weekend through intermediaries with Barcelona. They will decide on a bid only after knowing the motives of the Board.

Barcelona plans to launch a full offensive to complete the move

As per recent reports, Barca will launch a full offensive to sign Bernardo Silva in the following weeks. Initially, the deal depended on Frenkie De Jong’s future in the club. But after securing its fourth lever, the board won’t mind having both on the team if financially possible.

In an interview with ESPN, Bernardo Silva explained that he was happy to be in Manchester City. However, he did not rule out the option of a possible exit.

Pep Guardiola, Manchester City’s coach, is also not sure. Speaking to the media before the match against Bournemouth, he said he would love to keep Silva at City. But also stated that he still doesn’t know what will happen until the end of the transfer market.

Barcelona boss Xavi is a great admirer of Silva and his playing style. Silva is considered the perfect fit alongside Pedri in the Blaugrana midfield.

Last week Spanish Journalist Gerard Romero said that Barca might sign Bernardo within 60 million euros, much below Manchester City’s asking price. Sixty million Silva is an absolute bargain for the Cule midfield.
