Barcelona will be without  four players for the  Girona encounter

Barcelona has experienced a delightful few weeks of wellness, with manager Xavi benefiting from an entirely fit squad. However, things have now taken a turn for the worst. An upsurge of injuries at critical positions forced the Barcelona manager to call on his reserves to fill up his starting XI.

Although some of them, such as Frenkie de Jong and Pedri, appear to be on the recovery. The Catalan club is still dealing with some setbacks. Ousmane Dembele’s injury is the most seriously blow. The winger was having his greatest season in a Barcelona shirt before suffering a muscular injury since the end of January.

Barcelona key players may return by 23rd April

Javi Miguel of AS offered an update on the situation of the injured Barcelona players Pedri, Ousmane Dembele, Frenkie de Jong, and Andreas Christensen on Thursday evening.

According to the journalist, de Jong was ready to return for Barcelona’s La Liga match against Girona on Monday. While the other three stars could return in time for the Atletico Madrid match on April 23. Javi Miguel, however, has provided an update on the situation today. He claimed that Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez is unlikely to recover any of the four injured players before time for the Girona match.
According to the article, de Jong will be the first of the quartet to return. Still He is unlikely to return in time for Monday’s game. However, he is anticipated to be ready for the game against Getafe next weekend.

Dembele, on the other hand, hasn’t played for Barça in over two months. It was believed that the Frenchman would be back in 5-6 weeks. But his recovery has taken far longer than predicted.
Given his injury history, Barcelona is also not hesitant to rush him back. However, Javi Miguel believes the 25-year-old could recover in time for the Atletico Madrid match.

In February, the Pedri,teenage sensation, suffered a muscular injury  during Barcelona’s Europa League knockout match against Manchester United. He was supposed to be out for a few weeks. But he had an injury setback just before El Clasico at the end of March.
The midfielder is hoping to be fit for the Getafe game. In addition,He could be ready for the Atletico Madrid encounter by the end of the week.

Christensen, meanwhile, might return for the match against Diego Simeone’s side  or three days later when Barcelona travels to Rayo Vallecano.
