Braithwaite Booed during the presentation of the squad

Braithwaite

FC Barcelona forward Martin Braithwaite was booed during the squad presentation of Barcelona. The Danish forward is facing an uncertain future at the club following the massive rebuild of the club. Braithwaite has been deemed surplus to the requirements of the coach and the club. Coach Xavi has made it clear to Braithwaite that there are too many forwards at the club. Martin has also accepted that leaving might just be the best choice.

Barcelona played their final preseason game in the Joan Gamper. The Blaugranas are well aware of the registrations that are pending at the club. Lewandowski, Kessie, Kounde, Christensen and Raphinha are still not registered by the club. Barca plays their first game of La Liga on 14th august against Vallecano. The club is looking to come up with solutions in order to register the new signings as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, there are some players whose future at the club has been decided by the club. But they have been reluctant to leave. Memphis Depay and Martin Braithwaite are the 2 forwards who are very close to leaving. But reports say that they will leave once their contract is terminated. However, Braithwaite has not yet proceeded with it and his termination is at a standstill. These extra wages of players deemed surplus will not help the club at all. For this reason, the Camp Nou faithful were not happy with Braithwaite’s actions.

Barcelona have excessive forwards this season

Barcelona this season are looking to take Europe by storm. The squad they have got is more than capable of achieving great things this season. Barcelona this season have too many attackers at the moment. The club is planning to get rid of some in order to get the wages under the limit.

Ferran Torres and Ansu Fati will be taking over the left-wing spot under Xavi. Ousmane Dembele and Raphinha will be competing for the right-wing position. These 4 players are followed by Lewandowski and Aubameyang, who will be taking the striker position. Xavi has stated that no player is set to start in his starting 11. Rather, it will depend on which player performs the best.
