Braithwaite demands too much salary

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Martin Braithwaite is still one of the players whose future has to be sorted. The Danish attacker has made it clear that he wants to stay and will leave only if he will be offered a high salary. Mallorca was close to signing Braithwaite until Braithwaite changed places. He asked Mallorca for more salary than what he is earning at Barcelona. Braithwaite still wants to stay and prove his worth but Xavi has made it clear that the unwanted ones must leave.

Braithwaite feels that he can be a great addition to the already Brilliant squad f Aubameyang and Memphis leaves. The club is already facing financial struggles, and having difficulties registering players. The club has been looking to get rid of Martin for a long time because they have to make space for other signings also. Mallorca came in with interest in Braithwaite but soon decided to pull off. They are not willing to pay a high salary to someone who warms the bench at Barcelona.

Braithwaite is keen to stay but wants playing time also. Denmark are one of the underdogs of this years WC. The danish international wants to be in top shape for the Squad for Denmark. But it is important for him to lower his demands as Mallorca will not be able to pay his entire salary. Barcelona have also considered terminating his contract and almost managed to do it. But negotiations broke down at the last moment with Braithwaite still a Barcelona player.

Barcelona to carry on more departures

Samuel Umtiti has gone to Italy as he signed on loan for Leece. Other than that, the departures have been slow to come by. Memphis Depay’s move to Juventus broke down as Juventus went on to sign Milik. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has agreed on personal terms with Chelsea. But the 2 clubs have not arrived to a fee. Xavi wants Aubameyang for next season but the club would let him go for the right price.

Sergino Dest wants to continue at the club but Xavi does not rate him that high. He was left out of the squad for the first 2 La Liga games. Barcelona are currently exploring the market for a right-back that would suit their style. It looks like the transfer window is still not over for Barcelona.
