FA Cup Chelsea 4-0 Morecambe: Chelsea Player Ratings

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Chelsea comfortably won 4-0 against Morecambe FC in the 3rd round of FA Cup 2020-21 at Stamford Bridge.

Kepa Arrizabalaga successfully kept a clean sheet in his 100th appearance for the Blues.

However, the Germans Kai Havertz and Timo Werner returned back to scoring ways. Let’s have a look at the ratings of Chelsea players.

Chelsea 4-0 Morecambe: Player Ratings

Kepa Arrizabalaga (6.5/10) – The 26-year-old Spanish goalkeeper was rarely tested but he did save the only 3 shots on target. A clean sheet would be the best he would have hoped for in his 100th match.

Emerson Palmieri (6/10) – He was rarely involved in defending. A shot well wide was showing his attacking instincts. However, it would be difficult for him to be a regular replacing Ben Chilwell.

Antonio Rudiger (6/10) – Not a very good performance from him as he committed an early foul after the first goal by Mount. Rudiger was also playing upfront at times.

Kurt Zouma (6/10) – He was silent in this fixture and was not tested much in this game.

Cesar Azpilicueta (7/10) – The skipper was completely on offense mode and helped Havertz score the fourth goal of the match.

Billy Gilmour (7/10) – The 19-year-old was impressive in the midfield. He was energetic in creating some chances and also trying some shots far from the penalty box.

Kai Havertz (9/10) – A clinical performance from the 21-year-old creating chances and bagging an assist and a goal in this fixture. He deserves to be the Man of the Match of this fixture.

Mason Mount (8/10) – Mount celebrated his birthday in style as he scored brilliantly with an absolute rocket outside the penalty box.

Callum-Hudson Odoi (8/10) – Another key player in the match who is now in a sparkling form for the Blues. The 20-year-old striker was the real threat for Morecambe’s defense.

Hakim Ziyech (7.5/10) – A fair match for Ziyech. However, he assisted Hudson Odoi for Chelsea’s third goal of the match.

Timo Werner (7.5/10) – The German forward came back to scoring ways and he scored a thumping header just before the half time.

Substitutes :

Fikayo Tomori (5.5/10) – The centre-back made his appearance late on in the match, but still created some chances for the Blues to extend their lead.

AndOther substitutes that played were Christian Pulisic, Olivier Giroud, Tino Anjorin and Tammy Abraham. However, due to their less playing time, they cannot be rated.
