After the Round of 32, Barcelona was the only team still in the competition along with Valencia, Villarreal, Espanyol, Real Madrid, Levante, Sporting Gijon, AD Ceuta, Sevilla, Real Sociedad, Mallorca, Atletico Madrid, Alaves, Real Betis, Osasuna, and Athletic Club.

And for the Round of 16 match, the current La Liga leaders were ultimately against AD Ceuta.
The RFEF First Division opponents of Barcelona advanced to this round of the competition after defeating Utreta, Ibiza, and Elche in previous rounds.

The Round of 16 matches are slated to take place on January 17, 18, and 19. As the side from the lower tier will host each match. Barcelona will have to travel to Ceuta, which will be challenging in and of itself.
