Cristiano Ronaldo return to Europe in shambles after a few controversies

Cristiano Ronaldo’s son, Mateo, was wearing a Barcelona shirt in a social media post. This could anger Real Madrid fans as Ronaldo considers a return to Europe from his current contract with Al-Nassr. The image of Mateo donning Barcelona colors might provoke a negative reaction from Ronaldo’s previous supporters.

However, Ronaldo’s children expressing support for Barcelona is not a new occurrence. Cristiano Jr, a devoted Lionel Messi fan, had the opportunity to meet his idol at a past Ballon d’Or event. Messi, a World Cup winner, warmly embraced the young fan during the encounter.

Rodriguez clearly didn’t perceive any problem in allowing her son to wear the kit of his preference. However, from the perspective of Real Madrid fans, seeing him in Barcelona colors could further strain Ronaldo’s relationship with the supporters of the Spanish club.

Ronaldo spent half a year after signing a massive £170 million annual contract with Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia. However, he has already been associated with a potential return to Europe. He reportedly has a strong desire to rejoin the La Liga giants, where he spent nine years from 2009 to 2018. However, as of now, no concrete offer is there for the Portuguese international.

Cristiano Ronaldo to play for Bayern Munich?

In his inaugural season in the Middle East, the 38-year-old performed impressively, netting 13 goals for his Pro League team. A German businessman aims to entice him back to Europe with financing a potential agreement for Bayern Munich to acquire the experienced player.

Markus Schon, the businessman, declared his readiness to finance a significant transfer to the Allianz Arena. In exchange, he seeks a substantial portion of the player’s shirt sales as collateral.

“It would be conceivable that we could undertake to pay a transfer fee or loan fee in excess of a basic amount to be defined if our company is clearly seen as ‘facilitating’ the difference,” Schon wrote in Munich-based newspaper Abendzeitung.”

“In the event of a permanent commitment, we would expect a share in the proceeds from the jersey in order to limit our financial risk.”

Nevertheless, Bayern chief Oliver Kahn has already dismissed the possibility of offering a contract to Ronaldo when he departed Manchester United in November. Kahn stated that Ronaldo “doesn’t fit into our idea,” and it seems improbable that he will alter his stance.

As a result, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) remain the only feasible choices in terms of clubs. They are capable of affording his substantial salary. However, the possibility of returning to either club may be slim. This is due to any strained relationships caused by his departure from Real Madrid five years ago.
