De Jong to Bayern Munich on loan?

Barcelona

Frenkie De Jong and his future might just be the hottest topic in football at the moment. The Dutchman has been told by Barcelona to reduce his wages or else he will have to leave. However, he has been absolutely adamant about staying at Barcelona. The midfielder has been told by Xavi that sporting-wise, he intends to keep him. But the problem has been financial since the start.

New signings have been made by Barcelona in every department. The Catalans however will not be able to register them all if the salary cap is within the limit. The likes of Raphinha, Lewandowski , Kounde , Kessie, Christensen have been signed. To register them, Barcelona have to either convince De Jong to reduce his wages or leave the club.

Manchester have been the frontrunners to sign him since months. But Frenkie has made it very clear that he does not want to join the Red Devils. An agreement has been reached with Barcelona but the player has not agreed to move to England. Chelsea also came in between but never really took much interest in signing De Jong. Bundesliga Champions Bayern Munich are seemingly interested in signing De Jong on a loan deal.

De Jong Disappointed With Barca Treatment

Frenkie reportedly is very disappointed with how the club is handling his situation. He feels that they are just wanting to let go of him without a definite reason. He already had reduced his wages during Laporta’s first year of Presidency. The dutchman’s agents have made it clear that they do not intend to reduce his wages further.

President Laporta has addressed the media several times over his situation. The President was not shy in admitting that Barcelona have tried to sell him but it is not a necessity. Contacts from Chelsea, and Manchester United were normal as De Jong is a world-class midfielder. The Spanish Politician reinstated that De Jong will stay even if he decides not to leave and does not reduce his wages.
