Borussia Dortmund’s title campaign continues this weekend with an away encounter against FC Augsburg. Despite the fact that Jude Bellingham was unavailable on Sunday due to a knee injury, the Black and Yellows won the match.

Dortmund Concerned about Bellingham’s injury

During Borussia Dortmund’s triumph over Gladbach last Saturday, the England international suffered a knee injury. After the game, Edin Terzic dismissed any injury concerns and gave him the all-clear.
However Bellingham did not attend the public training session on Tuesday, citing load management as the reason for his absence. However, he also missed training sessions on Wednesday and Thursday, according to Ruhr Nachrichten.

So far this season, Jude Bellingham has been a constant for Borussia Dortmund, appearing in 42 games across all competitions. The 19-year-old is also BVB’s highest striker this season, with 14 goals and seven assists to his name. Moreover BVB trainer Edin Terzic revealed Bellingham’s situation earlier this week, he mentioned maybe playing a 4-2-3-1 in his absence. Marco Reus, Giovanni Reyna, Guerreiro and Salih Ozcan are all possible replacements for Bellingham.

Black and Yellows might end Bayern Munich’s bundesliga title winning streak

Borussia Dortmund thrashed 10-man Augsburg 3-0 on Sunday to take command of the Bundesliga championship race heading into next week’s season finale. Striker Sebastien Haller netted twice.
Haller broke the deadlock in the 58th minute. He added his second goal of the day six minutes later to seal the victory, which moved them above Bayern Munich and into first place. Julian Brandt’s stoppage-time goal sealed the victory.

While Bayern Munich’s aspirations of winning the Bundesliga for the 11th time in a row ended when they were defeated by RB Leipzig. Serge Gnabry sealed off a beautiful play to give Bayern the lead at halftime. However, Konrad Laimer tied the score in the second half, before penalties from Christopher Nkunku and Dominik Szoboszlai completed the comeback. After being fouled in the box by Benjamin Pavard, Nkunku blasted his penalty kick straight down the middle, before Noussair Mazraoui handled to allow Szoboszlai to score Leipzig’s third.

Borussia Dortmund is presently competing for the Bundesliga title. They are two points above Bayern Munich with one game remaining before the season ends. Dortmund hosts Mainz on the last day of the season. While Bayern, which has won the last ten Bundesliga titles, travels to Cologne.
