Edem Hazard completely thrashed because of poor fitness

According to reports, Eden Hazard was overpowered during a training game against the club’s Castilla squad this week. He is already out of favor with Real Madrid’s team. Despite still being under contract with Real Madrid until 2024, Hazard has been exiled from the first team under manager Carlo Ancelotti. This latest development is a further blow to the Belgian winger’s already diminished standing at the club.

Hazard reportedly struggled with physical inferiority as he was unable to keep up with the pace and had difficulty getting past his opponents.

The 32-year-old had taken some time off during the international break. After retiring from Belgium duty following the 2022 World Cup. As per Relevo, during the game, Hazard was unable to keep up with the physical demands. He struggled to dribble past his opponents. All of this occurred with head coach Carlo Ancelotti observing from the sidelines.

Deteriorating relationship between Hazard and Ancelotti

Despite having one year left on his contract, Hazard seems to be out of favor with Ancelotti. He only played in seven games across all competitions this season. Although he reportedly wants to see out his contract, rumors of a potential summer departure persist.

Earlier this month, when asked to explain Hazard’s lack of minutes in an interview with Eleven Belgium, Ancelotti gave a blunt response. He said: “I’m not here to give each player minutes, I’m here to win games. I put the best starting eleven to win games. I don’t look at how much a player earns or his age, it’s just about performances.”

Currently, it seems unlikely for Hazard to make a comeback. As he is placed behind the likes of Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo in the attacking hierarchy at Santiago Bernabeu.

Hazard will aim to earn a spot in Ancelotti’s upcoming squad in hopes of contributing as a substitute. As Real Madrid gear up for their next La Liga match against Real Valladolid on Sunday.
