Another day and yet another Hazard injury news from the Real Madrid training ground. Real Madrid‘s training session on Monday morning was one that saw Raphael Varane reappear. However, Eden Hazard was nowhere to be seen, emerging fears of another injury setback.

According to Marca, Hazard was nowhere to be seen in Real Madrid training on Monday morning. This is despite being put through his paces in recovering last week. And now he is now doubted for his appearance against Cadiz in the mid-week League fixture.

Zidane has been incredibly cautious with Hazard, but after he trained last week it was a surprise not to see him involved on Monday. Hazard has been training for two weeks with the team. However, he wasn’t called up for matches against Liverpool, Barcelona, and Getafe.

“Hazard is feeling very better and he is ready. He wants to be back more than anyone else” – Zinedine Zidane.

Hazard’ potential return to Chelsea under threat after injury

The first leg of the Champions League semi-final is more than a week away. However, Zidane expects that Eden Hazard would be ready to make a return in the semi-final first-leg against Chelsea.

The former Chelsea winger has been riddled with injuries ever since record signing from Stamford Bridge to Santiago Bernabeu in 2019. He has missed the last four La Liga matches for Los Blancos with his latest muscular issue.

Hazard has only made just 14 appearances with scoring only three goals in all competitions this season and has been out of the team since March. But despite his poor form, the football pundits have backed Hazard’s return to Chelsea.

Earlier in January, it appeared that some Real Madrid supporters had turned angry at Eden Hazard. A poll taken by Marca showed that a large section of Real Madrid fans believed Hazard should be dropped from the starting XI or sold.

The report states that 44 percent of fans believe the best scenario for Hazard and Real Madrid is to part ways at the earliest convenience after his poor performances.

Currently, Hazard has three more years left in his current contract for Real Madrid. However, the Belgian international has already teased a return to Stamford Bridge. Once he’s finished up in the Spanish capital, he could always return to Chelsea.
