About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

The Indian Super League club SC East Bengal won their maiden win against Odisha FC on Sunday. As Odisha FC is yet to win their first match.

Bright Enobakhare was signed in by East Bengal from the January transfer window. Head coach of Red and Gold Robbie Fowler had the vision to improve their attacking strategies.

Enobakhare played his debut match of the Indian Super League for SC East Bengal club. He scored the first goal playing for the Red and Gold. Robbie Fowler gave him a chance to play by substituting him in place of Maghoma in the 73rd minute of the match which ended 3-1.

Enobakhare Goal in the Second Half of East Bengal:

The Nigerian Attacking forward proved himself to be a devastating attacker. As he took a shot from the box in the 88th minute and was deflected by the goalkeeper Arshdeep Singh. The deflected ball found Surchandra Singh. Surchandra passed the ball back to Enobakhare who turned it into a successful goal.

Robbie Fowler might include him in the playing XI as well from the next fixtures onwards. SC East Bengal will try to get more wins to end up in mid-table by the end of this ISL season.

“We didn’t change our system. We have our style of play and we want to try and keep it simple. When you do that it becomes a bit easy for everyone. It is not about formations or certain players. Players have a role. With the quality we have, even today if we see, Pilkington’s goal, Jacques’ goal. Not to mention Bright (Enobakhare). Bright was fantastic. He made the game so simple. He looks like an unbelievable player.”

Whereas Kalinga Warriors remain at the bottom of the standing table. They have not won a single match so far and yet to get there 3 points.

The first win of the season did not help the Red and Gold to rank up but they received their 3 points.
