Erling Haaland loses his cool after the draw against FC Koln

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Erling Haaland was unhappy with his team’s result which was evidently seen after the full-time whistle. He was seen storming off the pitch after throwing his jersey at the hands of the opposition player. This came after Borussia Dortmund managed to salvage a point in the dying minute of the game against FC Koln.

Haaland is a boy on a mission. His great form has also been rewarded accordingly. With all major clubs across Europe trying to get his signature at any cost, he has established himself as one of the best.

However, those are the things of the future. As of now, he is still a Dortmund player and he is frustrated by his team’s position despite his heroics. Dortmund are currently slipping away from the top 4 in the Bundesliga.

They are currently 5th in the Bundesliga table, 4 points away from 4th. Their Champions League journey has been great so far though. They have qualified for the quarter-finals and will be facing a formidable Manchester City.

Erling Haaland responds after his angry display:

The Norwegian is the best young striker in the world right now. He has been a beast in front of the goal since he made his debut for RB Salzburg. This season for Borussia Dortmund, he has scored 33 goals in just 31 appearances.

He was also the reason for his team’s progress into the Quarter-Finals of the Champions League. He scored 2 goals in each leg as The Black and Yellows edged past Sevilla in a 5-4 aggregate scoreline.

Erling Haaland was the center of attraction after his reaction hit the news. And it was him who scored both the goals for them yet again.

He scored the 1st goal as soon as 3 minutes into the game. Koln equalized in the first half itself. They then took the lead with 30 minutes left to play, leaving Dortmund at the brink of another loss. However, it was their savior who scored a last-minute goal to grab a point.

Haaland was clearly not happy with his team’s enthusiasm as he took off his shirt and hurled it at an FC Koln player before storming out into the tunnel.

“Not a great result. We will use this as motivation to be back stronger! Thanks to all the [Borussia Dortmund] fans for your continued support. We will be back soon!” – Erling Haaland on Instagram.

Erling Haaland has a release clause of £75 million that can be activated only in 2022. But given his current form, the European Giants have shown great interest in him. With how things are moving, there will definitely be a bidding war for him in the summer.
