Barcelona may now shift their focus elsewhere after acquiring Vitor Roque from Atletico Paranaense. Estevao Willian, a.k.a. “Messinho,” is one of the most exciting up-and-coming football players from Brazil.

Estevao Willian Dreams Barcelona

The 16-year-old is an all-around winger who excels at dribbling, passing, and scoring goals. Ranked as one of the world’s best prospects. He recently shared his desire to play for FC Barcelona and become the next Lionel Messi, his idol. But he needs to keep proving his worth if he is to fulfill that aim.

Masterclass in the Final

Mundo Deportivo has noted that “Messinho” has succeeded in adding yet another prize to his collection. In the Under-17 Campeonato Brasileiro, the Brazilian prodigy was a member of the Palmeiras Under-17 team that faced São Paulo. Furthermore, he was the decisive factor in the Palmeiras team’s victory.

“Messinho” scored a fantastic hattrick to account for all three goals in Palmeiras’ 3-0 defeat. His first goal was an exquisite beauty, a low, precise strike into the bottom corner with his right foot as he effortlessly danced past the São Paulo defenders from the halfway line. Estevao was just getting going as they made the score 1-0 in the 25th minute.

The winger then scored his second goal in the 89th minute, about halfway through the match. After receiving the ball with his right foot close to the São Paulo box’s edge, the player didn’t hesitate to shoot at an awkward angle. The goal increased the score to 2-0 in Palmeiras’ favor and caught the São Paulo goalie off guard.

The goal for the hat-trick followed. Nearly two minutes after scoring his second goal, “Messinho” was celebrating freely when the referee pointed to the penalty spot to win it for his team. The Brazilian advanced to take the penalty with his left foot, finished his hattrick at the same time, and sent a beautiful strike to the keeper’s right to end the game.

Now that he has achieved success at home, Estevao looks to the national squad. Anticipated to participate in the November and December 2023 Under-17 FIFA World Cup, “Messinho” will be looking to help Brazil win the tournament twice in a row and replicate their 2019 victory.
