Everton and Manchester City joins the race for Yuri Alberto

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Internacional centre-forward Yuri Alberto is garnering interest from many top sides in Europe. The latest to enter the race for his signature is the Premier League duo of Everton and Manchester City.

This is according to news coming from Inside Futbol. Both Manchester City and Everton are reported to have submitted enquiries about Alberto to his club Internacional.

Alberto who is just 20 has been impressive for Internacional. Manchester City and Everton are the latest sides to register interest in the Brazilian, with the likes of AC Milan, Lyon, Atletico Madrid, Napoli and Roma already keeping tabs on his development.

ALBERTO GARNER INTEREST FROM MANCHESTER CITY AND EVERTON

The Brazilian striker has already appeared 78 times for Internacional across all competition. During this period he has scored 28 goals and is catching the eye with his performance. Alberto has a contract with the club till 2025. So far Internacional has been holding out for a huge transfer fee.

With Manchester City and Everton entering the race, it is sure that Internacional will not be ready to lower their asking price. The striker is showing promise and clubs are now trying to capture him in the January transfer window.

For Everton, Alberto can be an excellent pair with the likes of Dominic Calvert Lewin and Richarlison. As for Manchester City, the club is in search of a centre-forward and Alberto could be an interesting choice for this position.

However, there is the question of whether the 20-year-old could be able to adapt quickly to the European stage. Traditionally young football players from Brazil used to arrive in Europe through Portugal and other smaller leagues. But now the bigger sides like Manchester City are increasingly trying to avoid the first step and directly buying the players. With growing interest, it will be only time till Alberto makes his switch to Europe.
