According to a report published by El Gol Digital, FC Barcelona are looking to bring Aaron Ramsey as their new midfield player for next season. The Welsh international had a hard life at Juventus for the past two seasons and demanded to leave the club this summer.
Ramsey started his football career in the youth ranks of Cardiff City, where he spent one year before signing for Arsenal. After the transfer, he went to spent 2 years at Gunner’s camp. Following which he was sent on loan to Nottingham Forest and Cardiff City for some months.
As Ramsey returned from his loan spell he went become the mainstay at the midfield Arsenal. The Welsh man then went to spent 11 years of his career with Gunners. Ramsey had appeared 371 times for Arsenal while chipping in 65 goals and assists in all competitions in his decade-long stay. Following which he won the English FA Cup 3 times and English Super Cup 2 times while playing for the Gunners.
However, he decided to leave England in 2019 as his contract ended with Arsenal and decided to fly to Italy to join Juventus. But the move to Italy failed miserably for Ramsey, as he fails to settle at Juventus. As the Welsh man was only able to appear 65 times for the Bianconeri, scoring 6 goals in all competitions.
Following his unsettling form, Ramsey has demanded to leave Juventus this season, despite having two more years in his contract. And his comment on leaving Italy has attracted Crystal Palace, West Ham United, and Barcelona. Ramsey is currently focusing on his Euro campaign with Wales where he is able to put up a good show.
Barcelona lists Aaron Ramsey to replace Sergio Busquets
Barcelona are currently in the market to search for a central midfielder for next season. The Catalans were close solve the problem in the midfield by signing the free agent Georginio Wijnaldum. But Paris Saint-Germain hijacked the dutchman at the eleventh hour, by offering him a better deal than Barcelona. Due to which Barcelona are back to square with the midfield issue.
However, Barcelona are recovering from that situation as they have listed some players to sign them as a new midfielder. The list consists of Fabian Ruiz, Mikel Merino, Youri Tielemans, Jorginho, and the latest addition Aaron Ramsey. Barcelona are set to raid Juventus to land Ramsey, as the player comments on leaving Italy this summer.
The Catalans might be going for a swap deal with the old lady for signing Ramsey. As Juventus’s new manager Massimiliano Allegri has stated the desire to sign back Miralem Pjanic for the next season.
After Ronald Koeman was confirmed to continue for the second year at Barcelona, it was clear that Pjanic would have no place in the team. The Bosnian has played to impress his manager and is no longer part of his plan. Following this, Barcelona are keen to offload the player this summer.
And this could be a great opportunity to offer Pjanic in the part of the swap deal to sign Ramsey next season. Ramsey might be an ideal replacement for Busquets in the team, referring to his form for Arsenal. However, his form for Juventus could be a worrying debate for Barcelona. As they need to cautious about not turning him to another Pjanic. So, let’s wait and see if Ramsey agrees to fly to Spain next season, or opts for a return to England.
