FC Barcelona potential starting lineup after new reinforcements

The new era for FC Barcelona has started under their new manager Xavi. They have bought in several reinforcements throughout the season, to make up for the loss of their talisman Lionel Messi. The club has been in turmoil after Bartomeu’s tenure as the president. They have struggled financially and due to this struggle, they have offloaded several big names such as Griezmann, Coutinho, Messi, and Suarez.

Since then, they have struggled to keep up with their rivals Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid for the La Liga title. They are currently in 5th position and 15 points behind their arch-rivals Real Madrid. Their new signings from the summer transfer window have failed to deliver. Eric Garcia has leaked goals and Memphis Depay has failed to impress the Blaugrana fans.

They have been knocked down to the UEFA Europa League from the UEFA Champions League and are currently in a tough spot. Hence, the winter transfer window was very important for the club as they were in dire need of reinforcements.

Barcelona managed to strengthen their squad by looting several Premier League clubs. Ferran Torres signed for Barcelona in a big-money move costing around 60 million pounds. The agile and pacy winger Adama Traore was signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers on a loan deal with an option to buy. To top their transfer dealings, Arsenal’s leader and striker Pierre- Emerick Aubameyang was signed on the deadline day of the transfer window. Meanwhile, Dani Alves was also signed as a free agent. The Brazilian right-back brings in tons of experience and leadership.

Possible 11 for the upcoming games :

Barcelona faces Atletico Madrid in their next match and this match holds a lot of importance for their season. The club will want to finish in the top 4 to qualify for the Champions League next season. Hence, every match is going to have a lot of significance as they enter the second half of their season.

Ousmane Dembele is looking to leave the club on a free transfer. There’s a high chance that he will never feature in FC Barcelona lineup again. Ansu Fati is also out for a few weeks due to a hamstring injury.

Given the players at Xavi’s discretion, this is the predicted FC Barcelona lineup that we can expect to see.

FC Bareclona Predicted Lineup :
