Ferran Torres is the Right fit to Save Barcelona

With Lewandowski out for the next few weeks with an injury, Xavi will look for other options. Right now, Ferran Torres looks best for the role.

INJURY RUINS ATTACK

Earlier this week, Robert Lewandowski walked off the pitch. It happened during the match against FC Porto, dealing a further injury blow to Barcelona.

The 35-year-old striker is now expected to miss close to a month. It was subsequently revealed that he sprained his ankle.

Given that Barça has many crucial games coming up in the next month, including the Clasico against Real Madrid on October 28, this is a significant setback for them.

The greatest candidate to take Lewandowski’s spot in Xavi’s starting XI for the remaining games is Ferran Torres. It is because there isn’t another natural No. 9 on the team and he is out injured.

Joao Felix is a Trump Card

Joao Felix, a star on loan from Barcelona, is being mentioned by SPORT’s Sergi Capdevila as a potential unexpected replacement for the center striker position

Since joining Barça on a season-long loan transfer on deadline day from Atletico Madrid, the 23-year-old has had a successful start to life as a footballer.

Felix is a Portuguese international with a market worth of €50 million. Manager Xavi has deployed him mostly on the left wing thus far replacing Ferran Torres. Contributing three goals and two assists in seven games.

Although the striker lacks Lewandowski’s lethal finishing ability, Xavi has already noted his versatility. The 23-year-old may bring other strengths to the club.

Ferran Torres is the Right fit

Ferran Torres should start in Robert Lewandowski’s place in the upcoming game against Granada. He is currently the second-highest goal scorer for Barcelona this season.

Raphinha’s continued absence due to injury leaves Xavi with no choice but to maintain Joao Felix on the left and Lamine Yamal on the right.

When the Brazilian recovers from injury, though, there may be some opportunity for rotation, or the Barça head coach may want to revert to his preferred strategy of fielding four midfielders.

And Joao Felix would offer himself as a possibility to play through the center in these situations.
