Interest on Adrien Rabiot, Again!

Rabiot, a 28-year-old midfielder for Juventus, is apparently a target for Barcelona’s Bosman transfer next summer.

A Peculiar Career

Adrien Rabiot is the object of attention in Barcelona, claims Spanish news site Fichajes. The World Cup semifinalist is in the last year of his Juventus deal. The reigning La Liga winners are considering a Bosman move for the 28-year-old in the 2024 summer transfer window.

At the club level so far, Adrien Rabiot’s professional career has been peculiar. During his time at Paris Saint-Germain, when he established himself as a staple in the center of the park, the Frenchman was among the best young midfielders. Parc des Princes bitterly terminated his tenure before he departed as a free agent in July 2019.

Juventus Stint

Many prestigious teams were interested in signing Rabiot on a free transfer, including Barcelona. But Rabiot’s services were ultimately secured by Juventus, and he has had a good run thus far. Although he has experienced both highs and lows at the Allianz Stadium, he has emerged as a key player since the previous campaign.

The France international has made 183 appearances for Juventus so far, with 18 goals and 14 assists. However, because Rabiot is in the penultimate year of his contract, the Serie A powerhouses are concerned about his long-term future. It’s interesting to note that they faced a similar situation prior to the player signing a one-year contract this past summer.

Interest in Rabiot

Rabiot’s predicament has drawn the attention of numerous influential Premier League figures. Barcelona may also be competing to capture him in a Bosman transfer next summer.

Rabiot is capable of playing any position in the middle of the park. Barcelona might use a player with his abilities. Oriol Romeu and Ilkay Gundogan, Barcelona’s two recent summer arrivals, will only be there for a limited amount of time. The 28-year-old World Cup finalist may therefore prove to be a valuable addition.

But because Rabiot will soon be a free agent, there will be a fierce battle for his signature. In order to get the French international to a pre-contract deal in January, Barcelona will need to act swiftly.
