One of Italy’s greatest goalkeepers Gianluigi Buffon has congratulated the Argentinian forward Paulo Dybala on a successful transfer to the Italian club A.S. Roma. He was pleased to learn that Dybala will be playing another season in the Serie A.

Italy’s Buffon would love to see Dybala play at Roma

Buffon was cheerful about Dybala’s inclusion in the I Giallorossi (The Yellow and Reds). In an award ceremony held in Rome, He said:

“I can only pay Paulo a big compliment for what he is doing. Nobody has doubts about his qualities, I’m sure he needed a challenge and he chose the most beautiful with Roma.”

This is special since the Argentinian is recovering from an injury. There are clouds of doubt looming over his fitness. He is likely to miss the World Cup. But Buffon seems much more optimistic. He further added:

“He is very happy for what he is giving and he is receiving, now we hope he can recover for the World Cup.”

Italy’s World Cup winner is nowadays playing for Parma in Serie B. He is happy that he was able to reignite his passion for football in the twilight of his career.

Napoli is at the top of the table

Napoli is leading the Serie A table with Atlanta following behind at the second spot. Lazio, Udinese, and 2021 Serie A champion A.C. Milan have the same points with only a Goal Difference separating the teams.

While Mourinho’s Roma takes the sixth spot, followed by Inter Milan. Interestingly, Buffon’s old club Juventus is struggling to remain in the first half of the table.
