Jakub Kiwior, a defender for Spezia and Poland who his World Cup debut in Qatar, is reportedly attracting interest from Borussia Dortmund.

The 22-year-old has made an impression at Spezia by displaying a number of qualities that make him a great defender. Including domineering tackling and the capacity to precisely win the ball back from the opponent.

Corriere dello Sport first state that BVB was interest. With the rumor cost the Italian team would be seeking a list as being closer to 20 million euros. Dortmund would have to pay a hefty price to get the 22-year-old. Who is estimated to be worth 8 million euros by Transfermarkt.

Will Jakub Kiwior join Borussia Dortmund?

Even if Kiwior would provide some inventiveness to the team, he does not match the profile of the type of player Dortmund are desperately trying to sign, at least not in terms of the players the team currently has on hand and the way the team appears to plan to line up.
The arrival of Jakub Kiwior could indicate a shift in BVB’s defensive strategy (perhaps in the shape of a different defensive formation), although that is yet to be seen. Dortmund’s interest is particularly questionable because the team has seldom made significant purchases in the winter transfer market.
