Player of the Match

Scoring an absolute beauty was Greg Stewart, who grabbed the Hero of the Match award as well. Stewart: ” Yeah it was a nice feeling to score but a bit disappointing in the end not to take the three points. I felt we created enough chances to win the match and our goalkeeper didn’t have much to do but we conceded and it’s a draw. We have to take the positives…have only three days to recover. We are still unbeaten in the league which is something to be positive about.

The first period should have just been called “The Greg Stewart-show“. Though he only managed just a single goal, the Scot teased the Hyderabad backline every time he was around their penalty area.

20 minutes in, had the ball found the net, it would have been listed as a prospect for Goal of the Tournament. Stewart collected the ball from the middle of the park, credit to Hitesh Sharma and was off. He darted head-on into the area and totally confused Juanan, only for the bar to deny him.

Up next, Jamshedpur FC go up against a ATKMB side who will be looking for redemption after a humbling loss. Meanwhile, Hyderabad FC are set to face Bengaluru FC in their next fixture.
