England were knocked out of the FIFA World Cup against France in the Quarter-finals. However, a big positive from this World Cup campaign was the performance of Jude Bellingham. The 19-year-old midfielder excelled in the three lions jersey and mesmerized critics and fans alike.
The Englishman has been playing for Borussia Dortmund in Bundesliga for the past three years. He moved to Germany from Birmingham City and has developed into one of the best midfielders in the world. However, a lot of rumors of his possible exit have been doing the rounds in the past few weeks.
The player has recently sparked rumors again after signing a Real Madrid shirt. Generally, players refuse to sign shirts of other clubs as a matter of respect. However, the young midfielder had no such issues when requested by a fan.
Liverpool and Real Madrid set to battle for Jude Bellingham
Liverpool have expressed their interest in signing the young English midfielder. However, the Merseyside club will not find it easy as the European Champions are also interested. The Los Blancos see Jude Bellingham as a long-term replacement for Toni Kroos.
The Reds on the other hand want to reinforce their midfield by signing the breakout star. Liverpool is considering an offer for the 19-year-old’s father at the club to convince the England international. Jurgen Klopp is desperate to add metal to his midfield after the struggles this season.
Real Madrid on the other hand wants to bolster their squad further. It will be a statement signing for the Spanish giants and the club is reportedly in the driver’s seat for Jude’s signature. It will be difficult for the young midfielder to turn down Real Madrid as the prospect of regularly winning titles will be tempting after a trophy-less spell with Borussia Dortmund!!
