Juventus look to bounce back despite a poor start

In subpar

Juventus were once the undisputed kings of Italy. The Old lady’s downfall off the cliff was never expected. Max Allegri came at a time when the club was at its lowest. And so far, there has not been any difference in the way the team is playing and the results. They sit so far from the top of Serie A’s table and have had too many embarrassing losses in such a short amount of time. Much has been blamed on the management who let players like Paulo Dybala leave for free this season. Also, The Bianconeri also lost De Ligt to Bayern Munich, though Bremer has exceeded expectations so far.

Juventus have not done much in the Champions League either. They sit at the bottom of the group after defeats against PSG and Benfica in the opening matchdays. Newly promoted side Monza also surprised the Italian giants after beating them 1-0. The performance from Juve, was in every word, atrocious and awful. Max Allegri has not found a way to work with the squad. An international break might just prove to be a blessing for them as it really looks like the players need a breather. New signing Paul Pogba was injured in training and will miss most games this year.

You cannot argue but think that the return of Max Allegri has been pretty disappointing, given his historic record with the Bianconeri. After 2 seasons of losing Serie A to Milan sides, the club was looking to make a comeback. The start has not been good for them but they have bounced back brilliantly after the international break. A 3-0 win over Bologna and a 3-1 win over Maccabi Haifa has got the fans pumped again. It might just be the pump that Juventus needed to get back to their best. The Old lady will want to finish top 4 convincingly this season or even make a title challenge.

Vlahovic linked with top European clubs

Dusan Vlahovic was the marquee signing for Juventus last season. The Former Fiorentina man came in for a hefty price but has not yet justified his price tag. This is also due to a large number of changes in Juve’s frontline. Paulo Dybala has left and now Di maria dawns the right-wing spot. Alvaro Morata has also left Juventus for Atletico Madrid after his loan spell was over. Now reports say that Chelsea wants the 22-year-old.

Last season, he was linked to Arsenal but a move never happened. But Graham Potter is targeting Vlahovic to be the main man up front. Timo Werner and Lukaku left for their former clubs. Aubameyang is the only striker present at the club. Armando Broja and Vlahovic are the visions for the long-term striker investments by Chelsea. But a move like this is not easy to pull off because of Vlahovic’s great demand across Europe.
