Keziah Veendorp signs for Bengaluru FC

Bengaluru FC announced the signing of Dutch defender Keziah Veendorp, who put pen to paper on a two-year deal until the end of the 2024-25 campaign. Keziah used to play in the Eredivisie (the Netherlands top-tier football league) side FC Emmen. 26-year-old, 6.2 ft Keziah Veendorp joins the club as the sixth foreigner.

Keziah Veendorp: Player Profile

In 2005, Veendorp started his football career with FVV Foxhol and moved to VV Hoogezand in 2006. He joined FC Groningen in 2008. Veendorp was called up for Groningen first team in 2016. With his successful stint with Groningen, Veendorp made a significant move to FC Emmen in 2017. Veendorp played only times for the club at the U-21 level, while in the senior team he had consistent performances in almost 141 matches over several seasons. He continued his journey at the club till the summer of 2023.

With his ability to play with precision, he serves as an important link between the defense and midfield. His ability to launch long balls will be a bonus to the team on counter-attacking opportunities. Keziah Veendorp generally plays as a defensive midfielder. We can also find that he can play in multiple positions. His dedication and commitment to the game are second-to-none.

Coach reaction on the signing

“Keziah Veendorp is a versatile player who is equally comfortable in midfield and defence.

He played at the highest level in Holland for a very long time and is another character with a very good winning mentality, who was eager to come to our football club.

We’re really looking forward to working with him, and I’m sure he’ll help us in many different departments this season,”

said Bengaluru FC boss Simon Grayson.
