BENGALURU FC

Bengaluru FC is an Indian professional football club based in the city of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Meanwhile, JSW Group founded the club in 2013. It is currently a member of the Indian Super League (ISL) and the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

History

Bengaluru FC was founded in 2013 by a group of football enthusiasts from the city of Bengaluru. This includes the owners of the Indian Premier League team Royal Challengers Bangalore. The club joined the I-League, the top tier of Indian football at the time. Moreover, in the 2013-14 season, they won the league in its debut season. They became the first club from South India to win the I-League. They also won the Federation Cup in their debut season, completing the double.

In 2017, Bengaluru FC announced their move to the Indian Super League, joining the league in the 2017-18 season. In their debut season, they finished runners-up, losing to Chennaiyin FC in the final. However, in the 2018-19 season, they won the ISL, becoming the first club to win both the I-League and the ISL.

Trophies

Bengaluru FC has won the I-League once (2013-14) and the Indian Super League once (2018-19). They have also won the Federation Cup twice (2014, 2015) and the Super Cup once (2018).

Revenues

This club is one of the most financially stable clubs in Indian football, with a reported revenue of INR 43.97 crore (approximately $6 million) in the 2018-19 season. They are also one of the few Indian clubs to have a jersey sponsorship deal with a foreign company, having signed a deal with Puma in 2019.
