Kylian Mbappe’s future still remains up in the air as we approach the business end of the current season. The prodigal talent is yet to commit to PSG for the long term. Kylian Mbappe’s contract with PSG expires in June.
There is no clarity over Mbappe’s decision as he still contemplates over his future. Recently reports have emerged which suggest that Mbappe is reconsidering his choices. In the past, Mbapee has come on record and made his desire to join Real Madrid public. However, PSG has apparently offered him a new contract offering him a bumper 1 million a week. Mbappe has tolerated that offer and put forth certain conditions to sign that contract.
Kylian Mbappe’s conditions to sign a new contract
Kylian Mbappe is certainly a favorite to win the Balon d’ Or in the future. He clearly wants to be the center of whatever project he is part of. PSG boasts the likes of Lionel Messi and Neymar which takes away the limelight from Mbappe. He wants to be Santiago Bernabéu’s next superstar.
PSG ultras recently brandished their players to be rich and lazy. Rumors have been doing the rounds over how disputed the squad is under Pochettino. With so many big egos in the squad, a lack of discipline exists amongst the players. Mbappé believes it to be fundamental that PSG put strict rules in place on a day-to-day basis like ensuring players are not late and in order.
Mbappe also wants to include a release clause into his contract if he does renew. He has in fact made it clear that he dreams of playing for Real Madrid and will definitely want to make the move in the future.
Finally, Mbappe wants to be the leader of the team and wants to be on free-kick and penalty duties. Kylian Mbappe’s future at PSG rests on this conditions.
