Lewandowski flirting with Real Madrid

About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Bayern Munich will be on high alert as Robert Lewandowski has expressed his desire to move away. The Polish striker wants a new challenge and has shown interest in a move to Real Madrid.

This is according to the report coming from AS. The reports suggest that Lewandowski wants to move to a different league and consider Real Madrid as the best destination. It also reports that the Poland captain is ready to accept an offer from Real Madrid over other clubs, even if it pays less.

Currently, Lewandowski has a deal with Bayern Munich till 2023. However, the 33-year-old could ask his club to allow his decision to move away. Real Madrid will have competition for the signature of Lewandowski as Manchester City and Liverpool are also interested in the centre-forward.

WILL REAL MADRID GO FOR LEWANDOWSKI?

Robert Lewandowski has been one of the best players in the world. The striker seems to have hit a new gear in the last two seasons, as he continues his amazing scoring record. He already has 15 goals from all competition this season and is set to continue his great form.

For Bayern, it will be a tough decision as Lewandowski has been very important for them over the years. The Polish international has scored 309 goals for the Bavarians across all competition from just 340 matches. But with the 33-year-old requesting to make a move, it will be hard for them to keep hold of him.

Bayern would not want to sell him for free and will try to sell him next summer if the situation continues. But this put off Real Madrid who already has a 33-year-old striker. Karim Benzema is a pivotal part of the Los Blancos team and has had an excellent start to the new season. The club is also confident with the Frenchman and it does not seem like they will be selling him.

Add to this the desire of Real Madrid to sign Haaland as well as the impending signing of Kylian Mbappe will leave very little space for Lewandowski. With Manchester City, Liverpool and PSG all showing interest in the 33-year-old. Bayern will look for the highest bidder rather than taking a loss.

Lewandowski has two more years left in his contract with Bayern. Putting the club in a better position in the negotiation. Whether they will respect Lewandowski’s decision is something that has to be seen.
