Eulogio Martinez scored the only goal as Ladislao Kubala’s Barcelona team defeated Real Madrid 1-0. Los Blancos defeated Barcelona 3-1 in the second leg(COPA DEL REY – 22/04/1962). With goals from Paco Gento,Ferenc Puskas and Luis del Sol outscoring Pereda’s lone strike for the visitors.

Benzema hattrick sends Los Blancos to Copa del Rey final

Real Madrid won the Copa del Rey semifinal second leg 4-0 against El Clasico opponents Barcelona,  dramatically reversing the script at the Camp Nou. Karim Benzema’s hattrick stole the show as Los Blancos ripped apart Barcelona in the second  half to secure a Copa del Rey final spot with Osasuna next month.Despite creating a succession of fantastic early chances before the break, Vinicius Jr’s brilliant goal just before halftime ultimately levelled the tie on aggregate. However, Benzema dominated the second period, easily converting the passes from Luka Modric and Vinicius Jr. In addition, He scored an ice cold penalty as Carlo Ancelotti’s side showed their teeth in Catalonia to advance 4-1 on aggregate.
