Wolves

The title race for the La Liga has taken an interesting turn for the last stages of the league. After a goalless draw for Los Blancos against Getafe on Monday, they went to play away against Cadiz. Real Madrid needed a desperate win against Cadiz to keep their hopes alive for the La Liga title.

Real Madrid has done what there expected to do as they pulled a dominant 3-0 win against Cadiz. This victory sees them move to the top of La Liga, level on 70 points with Atletico Madrid.

Karim Benzema opened the scoring in the 30th minute by converting a penalty awarded by VAR. The French striker then set up Alvaro Odriozola’s close-range header with a well-placed cross in the 33rd. He later added the third with a header in the 40th for his 21st league goal, moving two behind scoring leader Lionel Messi of Barcelona.

Earlier in the day Sevilla also pulled a 1-0 victory against Levante to move to third place. Youssef En-Nesyri scored early in the second half to give Sevilla their fourth straight victory. With this win, Sevilla has reached 67 points, three behind Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid in the league table.

La Liga title race heating up

La Liga has turned to be mind-blowing for the fans in its last stage. With only a few games left to play it is not yet decided who will end up in the top 4 and there is no runaway winner either.

Real Madrid and Sevilla have done their job, for the time being now it’s to time for Atletico Madrid and Barcelona to step up for a win to keep the title race alive for them.

Atletico Madrid are hosting SD Huesca at home after there dominating 5-0 victory against Eibar on Sunday. They will be looking for a win at home to move at the top of the table collecting three points. However, it will not be easy against SD Huesca as they will be trying hard for a win to stay away from relegation.

Barcelona is also competing for the league title as they currently sit at 4th place with 65 points in the league table playing only 30 matches. They have currently played 2 fewer matches as compared to the top three teams in the league.
