Manchester United Appoint Ralf Ragnick as their Interim Head Coach. The Red Devils have finally filled one of the most Popular Managerial roles in Europe but only temporarily. The Club reached an agreement with Ralf Rangnick to become the club’s new interim manager until the season ends. Manchester United sacked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after Watford defeated them by 4-1.
Following the sacking of Solsjkaer, Michael Carrick took charge of the Red Devils against Villarreal on Tuesday. Manchester United won the match by a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho. United sacked the Norwegian who also came to the club temporarily in 2018. He was able to put the team together and brought good results for the club in a decent amount of time.
Manchester United are said to be keen to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as their long-term manager. However, they will have to forcefully wait until the end of the season to bring him from Paris Saint-Germain. Although, the former Spurs boss denied all the rumours mounting up on his future at the Parc Des Princes. Pochetinno made it clear during a Press conference that will not leave PSG to become United’s next Head coach.

The Red Devils have been searching for an interim manager since parting ways with Ole Gunnar Solsjkaer. Several Managers were thrown at the mix with former Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde, at one stage, was believed to be the favourite. Erik Ten Hag, Zinedine Zidane, Brendan Rodgers and Laurent Blanc had the chance to become the next Manchester United head coach.
The Red Devils are currently 8th in Premier League having suffered several heavy defeats this season already. However, they have progressed to the next round of the UEFA Champions League with the only match left to play in Group Stages against Young Boys on 9th December.
Ralf Rangnick is currently Head of sports and development at Lokomotiv Moscow. The German has reportedly agreed on a six-month deal with the 20-time English champions. The Athletic reports that the agreement will see the 63-year-old take on a two-year consultancy role at the club after his interim manager’s contract has come to an end in May.
The German will not be able to join Manchester United when they travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday. Ragnick will have to wait for a Work Permit in England, therefore he is unavailable for United’s clash against Chelsea. Michel Carrick will be in charge of the Red Devils for the second time on Matchday 13 of the Premier League.
