Manchester United eyeing move for Bundesliga star Christopher Nkunku

Manchester United have reportedly added RB Leipzig forward Christopher Nkunku to their shortlist for the summer. Manchester United expects to go through a new clear-out in the summer with the likes of Edinson Cavani, Anthony Martial, and Paul Pogba likely to leave.

Mason Greenwood’s unexpected controversy has ruled him out for the near future. With United’s champions league qualification uncertain, Cristiano Ronaldo may also want to leave in the summer.

Given the uncertainty with the futures of several players, United have started to plan for the future. Christopher Nkunku is one of the names that has been shortlisted as a potential replacement for the future. Reports have suggested that the suggestion has come from their caretaker manager Ralf Rangnick. The German signed Nkunku for RB Leipzig from PSG in 2019.

Ralf Rangnick known for having a good eye for talent has suggested Nkunku to the board of United. He unearthed the likes of Erling Haaland and Dayot Upamecano.

Manchester United to make a move for Christopher Nkunku?

Christopher Nkunku played as a right-back for Paris Saint Germain. However, Julien Naggelsman was ahead of the curve and unleashed him as a forward for RB Leipzig. Nkunku known for his versatility can play as a playmaker, striker, or winger.

The French star is having his most prolific season and has bagged 11 goals in the Bundesliga this season. Meanwhile, he is also the playmaker for RB Leipzig and has grabbed 11 assists. A complete player, his profile seems to be the perfect fit for United. He is still only 24 years old and is yet to hit his prime.

His performances have started to attract other big clubs like Liverpool, Manchester City, and Real Madrid as well. He is one of the most wanted players in the Bundesliga right now and deservedly so.

Manchester United will hope to use Rangnick’s old relationship with RB Leipzig to lure him to the theatre of dreams. Meanwhile, a move to the Premier League is a dream for many and Nkunku looks ready for a big move this summer.
