Marcus Thuram might prove effective for Real Madrid’s frontline

Marcus Thuram might prove as a vital recruitment for the Los Blancos. There are a number of options available to Real Madrid’s forward line, but little certainty. There seems to be no doubt that Los Blancos will axe Mariano Diaz. His contract expires at the end of the season, and he has played just 25 minutes this season.

Likewise, Marco Asensio is something of a question mark. Although contract negotiations are ongoing with the Spanish international, it seems the club and player disagree on how much he should earn and how much he should play.

In contrast, Eden Hazard is once again unable to rise above his own shadow. It is clear that Carlo Ancelotti does not trust the Belgian, despite what he may say in the press. It appears unlikely that he will play a major role next season, even if he does not depart this summer.

Despite splitting responsibility with Rodrygo Goes, Fede Valverde has been highly productive on the right this season. It was a good move for the Uruguayan to move across the forward line and combine with Vinicius Junior. The left side of Vinicius is perhaps his most fixed presence.

Karim Benzema is another example. On his day, the 25-year-old is arguably world football’s best forward. His injury has limited his time on the pitch to fleeting moments. Prior to the World Cup, Benzema had only scored six goals.

Hence Real Madrid may go for the French international Marcus Thuram.

What can Real Madrid gain if they buy Marcus Thuram?

A French forward named Marcus Thuram has been linked with Real Madrid by Fichajes. He is out of contract with Borussia Moenchengladbach this summer, and it is unlikely that he will extend it. Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Chelsea, and especially Arsenal are all interested in Marcus Thuram.

Marcus Thuram is tall, strong, and quick, adding some missing ingredients to Real Madrid’s front line. Thuram’s attributes would make their attack far more diverse, even if he might not be the most clinical option available.

Thuram’s style of play may be what makes him most valuable for Real Madrid. Real Madrid’s forward options have one thing in common: they like the ball at their feet, regardless of Valverde’s skill at crashing the box. Even though Rodrygo is good, he is not suitable to go behind the defence. Marcus Thuram has a tendency of going beyond defenders and stretching out the defence in the process. Hence, it will prove effective for Real Madrid if they go for the French forward Marcus Thuram.
