On Saturday, Kylian Mbappe became the all-time top scorer for Paris St Germain with 201 goals in all competitions. He scored in stoppage time, helping PSG beat Nantes 4-2 and extend their Ligue 1 lead to 11 points. PSG were up 2-0 after goals by Lionel Messi and Jaouen Hadjam’s own goal. But Nantes managed to level before half-time through Ludovic Blas and Ignatius Ganago. However Mbappe saved the day at the end.

PSG will now travel to Bayern Munich next week, hoping to overturn a 1-0 deficit in the Champions League last 16.

Mbappe to score the winner against Nantes

Danilo scored for Christophe Galtier’s team around the hour mark. Meanwhile, Kylian Mbappe secured the win with a goal in stoppage time. Lionel Messi scored PSG’s first goal with a left-footed volley from Fabian Ruiz’s cross, and Jaouen Hadjam’s own goal in the 17th minute gave PSG a 2-0 lead after Nuno Mendes’s attempt was parried by Alban Lafont into Hadjam’s path. PSG are now in a comfortable lead in Ligue 1.

Achraf Hakimi, the Moroccan star, watched the game from the stands at the Parc des Princes as he is injured. Meanwhile, Coach Christophe Galtier lost another defender, with the team’s captain Marquinhos coming off due to a side strain.

In another match, RC Lens had to settle for a 1-1 home draw in the northern derby, which dealt a blow to their Champions League aspirations. RC Lens moved to third place in the standings with 51 points following their recent match. However, Franck Haise’s team only secured victory on only one of their last seven league matches.

Nevertheless, PSG are in a strong position after their win against Nantes, thanks to Kylian Mbappe. They will hope to outclass Bayern in their upcoming Champions League second leg.
