Munich are keeping a close eye on the talented midfielder

Munich is after the Barca player. Incessant transfer rumors have surrounded Barcelona player Frenkie de Jong over the past six months.

The international from the Netherlands was extensively connected with a transfer to Manchester United last summer, with some rumors even saying that the Red Devils and Barça had reached an agreement on a transfer cost. Munich The midfielder’s resistance to moving on, however, prevented the transfer from happening.

Chelsea have also expressed interest in de Jong throughout the summer. De Jong, however, maintained his position despite the Blaugrana resorting to coercive measures to remove him in order to conceal his pay and profit from his sale.

De Jong, who originally lost his spot in the starting lineup, has earned his spot back thanks to strong showings as both an inside Munich midfielder and a pivot. In fact, Xavi views him as a crucial member of the squad moving ahead.

However, Barcelona’s financial status is still a problem, and if things do not get better, significant sales may be needed this summer. Bayern Munich is reportedly keeping a close eye on de Jong and his circumstances at Camp Nou. In the hopes of making a summer bid for him, according to SPORT.

The German soccer team Bayern has long admired the Dutch midfielder. They had considered signing him last summer but opted. Against it since the Robert Lewandowski discussions had caused tension between them and Barcelona.

Additionally, the Bavarians spent a lot of money to recruit de Jong’s fellow countrymen Ryan Gravenberch and Matthijs de Ligt. However, the interest in the Barça midfielder has not diminished, and they may still make an attempt to sign him next summer if they think the Blaugrana will be pushed into selling.

Bayern Munich, though, maybe a different story. The always-successful German giants have a strong organizational structure at the club, which would appeal to the former Ajax star.

According to reports, Barcelona is attempting to bargain with de Jong over a pay cut. However, if such discussions do not result in what is intended, Munich the Catalans may consider bids for the midfielder. Bayern is also keeping a close eye on the issue as they try to make a move for the 25-year-old.
