According to a report by Marca, Nacho Fernandez has accidentally confirmed the news of Alarcon Isco’s departure this summer. Isco has the desire to leave Real Madrid since January but the club didn’t sell him because of not getting the right price. But the midfielder is positive to leave this summer, following the interest from Serie A giants AC Milan.
Isco started his football career in 2009 with the Spanish team Valencia, but his transfer to Malaga brought him to the limelight. The midfielder joined the Malaga side in 2011 and was named the golden boy in 2013. Following his growth, Real Madrid signed Isco at a price of 30 million from Malaga in July 2013.
Since his debut for Los Blancos, Isco has appeared 336 times while scoring 51 goals and 56 assists in all competitions. He also played an important part in Real Madrid’s consecutive three Champions League title wins. Isco was one of the favourite players for Zinedine Zidane from 2015 to 2018.
But the last season changed everything about Isco’s future at Madrid, as the midfielder only appeared 29 times last season. Out of 29 only 10 of them were the actual starts and 19 appearances were as a substitute. While Isco also failed to register any goal last season.
As he faced less game time last season Isco wanted to leave in the winter transfer window. But Madrid didn’t sell him because of not getting the correct price. However, he will leave in the summer transfer window after Nacho accidentally confirms his departure.
Nacho accidently confirms Isco’s departure in the pre-season training
Real Madrid started their pre-season training on Monday with the 13 players currently available for the club. Madrid’s new boss Carlo Ancelotti took charge of his first training session in his second stint as manager. While Madrid’s fitness coach Antonio Pintus also joined the Italian boss in the training ground.
The club uploaded a video in their social media handle informing the Madrid fans about the training session. Following the video, a clip has gone viral where we can see Nacho and Pintus discussing about Isco. The fitness coach asked about the reason for absence of Isco in the training and in return, Nacho replies but it has already been fixed.
Following this conversation, Marca added that the two might be discussing Isco’s departure. Isco has been strongly linked with AC Milan and Everton for a transfer this summer. While AC Milan is leading the race as reported by Italian outlet Gazzetta.
Real Madrid have already excluded Isco from their future plans and are willing to cut off their wage budget by selling him. It is believed that Madrid will be pricing the midfielder at a range of 17-20 million. And AC Milan are the favourites to land him after losing Hakan Calhanoglu to Inter Milan this summer.
