Morocco youngster Azzedine Ounahi is the prime target of clubs like Barcelona and Napoli. He is one of the finest players within the Morocco squad who had a tremendous campaign in the World Cup. Barcelona wants to strengthen their midfield as the future of Busquets and Kessie seems bleak. The 22 year old Ounahi with his unending potential irked the interest of the Catalans.
However, reports from Mundo Deportivo suggest that Barcelona might miss out on the signing of an Angers midfielder. Napoli is the frontrunner in securing the Morocco international and seems to bag in Ounahi before Barcelona gets the chance.

Barcelona is looking for options to replace Busquets and Kessie as a pivot midfielder. Ounahi emerged as a low-price option for the Catalans. In the midst of Barcelona’s financial crisis, Azzedine Ounahi looks like a fairly reasonable deal. However, clubs like Sevilla, West Ham United, and Leicester City are also in the race for Ounahi.
But Ounahi is highly likely to move to Napoli as they are in a good spot in signing the midfielder for a sum of 20 million euros. Napoli is currently at the top of Serie A and also performed great in the Champions League till now. They will like to strengthen their midfield by welcoming Ounahi into their ranks.
Angers are also okay with selling the Morocco star but seem to prefer him to stay till the end of the season. However, a January transfer of the player seems to be likely.
On the other hand, Barcelona are in a tight spot in purchasing any new player in this January transfer window. Their Financial Fair Play issues might be the reason for missing out on Ounahi.
