Real Madrid President Florentino Perez has turned down any rumor about bringing back Cristiano Ronaldo. The Spanish Politician was asked by a fan telling him to sign Ronaldo. Perez did not stand down and responded with harsh words of criticism toward the Portuguese striker. Florentino was shocked at this suggestion by the fan and responded with: ” Again ! Even at 38 !!”. These comments have not gone well with Ronaldo fans and even some Real Madrid supporters.
Cristiano Ronaldo and Perez never saw eye to eye. The duo showed great chemistry on screen but there were big issues between the two in reality. His exit from Madrid was also the result of the breakdown in their relationship. There only had to be one winner from this battle and even Ronaldo had to submit against Perez. This resulted in a record move to Serie A giants Juventus when Ronaldo was still at his peak. Perez was more than happy to let Ronaldo go and remind him that there was only one main man at Real Madrid.
The following season, Real Madrid fell to their lowest and were eliminated from the Champions League pretty early. But followed by that were a resurgence of the club and the protection of its history were the players. They soon clinched La Liga again in 2019-20 but fell short in the Champions league. It was followed by a season of little success but players were beginning to step up. Carlo Ancelotti was brought in and soon Real were at the top again. They historically won the 14th UCL and 35th La Liga title last season.
Ronaldo unlikely to leave Manchester United
Cristiano Ronaldo’s future at Manchester United is nothing but blinded by fog. The 38-year-old wants to leave with the club playing Europa league football. But unfortunately, no other big European club has agreed to sign Ronaldo from Manchester United. The Portuguese forward has been turned down by PSG, Barcelona, Chelsea, Bayern Munich, and Napoli also. It is a hard thing to believe but no one wants the 5-time Ballon D’or winner now.
Ten Hag has clarified several times that he counts on Ronaldo and does not want him to leave at all. Jorge Mendes has been trying to find a solution for Ronaldo for so long but all in vain. It still must haunt Ronaldo about the fact of leaving Real Madrid in 2018. He joined a wounded Juventus side which finished 4th in Serie A in his last season. Then he was welcomed at Old Trafford by a team that was in tatters and was much worse. It remains to be seen if he has United through and through in his veins or a new challenge up his sleeves.
