AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has boldly claimed that his side are “cured” following a series of impressive performances in recent weeks. Milan’s form has picked up in the latter half of the season, with the team currently sitting in second place in the Serie A table. Pioli credits this upturn in form to the fact that his players are “back to smiling” again.

Milan had a difficult start to the season, with Pioli coming under intense scrutiny following a string of poor results. However, the Rossoneri have since gone on a remarkable run of form, winning nine of their last 10 games. This run of form has propelled Milan up the Serie A table, and they now find themselves just four points behind league leaders Inter Milan.

Pioli believes that the reason for Milan’s recent success is that his players are finally enjoying themselves again.

“We’re cured,”

he said in a recent interview.

“We’ve managed to get back to the smiling faces of the players, and that’s what we need.”

What did Pioli say about this?

Pioli has been praised for his man-management skills, with many of his players expressing their admiration for the Italian coach. One player who has benefited from Pioli’s approach is striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish forward has been in scintillating form this season, scoring 14 goals in just 13 league games. Pioli has praised Ibrahimovic for his contribution to the team, and the 39-year-old forward has reciprocated this praise, saying that Pioli is a “fantastic coach.”

Another player who has thrived under Pioli’s management is midfielder Franck Kessie. The Ivorian has been an integral part of Milan’s recent success, scoring seven goals in 23 league appearances. Kessie has also spoken highly of Pioli, saying that the coach has given him the confidence to express himself on the pitch.

Milan’s recent success has also been down to the performances of their young players. The likes of Theo Hernandez, Rafael Leao, and Alexis Saelemaekers have all played important roles in Milan’s recent run of form. Pioli has praised for his ability to get the best out of these young players. He has also credit with creating a positive atmosphere within the squad.
