Predicted lineup : Barcelona vs Granada

Julian Araujo

Barcelona take on Granada away from home on Sunday. Let’s take a look at the possible lineup for Barca this weekend.

Defense

A string of difficult, crucial games that have resulted in major injuries. It has put a lot of strain on the entire team. It has left Barcelona weary and needing to find the will to play one more strong game. Due to the severe injury situation, Xavi has very few alternatives. He must manage his team’s minutes wisely while still having a strong enough lineup to win by a margin of three points.

Joao Cancelo is one player that really needs a break. We are attempting to talk it into existence for this one. If Cancelo is really rested, Andreas Christensen will return to the defense. He will be shifting either Ronald Araujo or Jules Kounde to right-back and reuniting the back four with Balde.

Midfield for Barcelona

There aren’t many alternatives left for Xavi to rotate in the middle of the pitch due to the injuries. But Ilkay Gündogan also needs at least 45–60 minutes off on Sunday after playing virtually nonstop for the previous month.

Young Fermin López, who is gaining playing time and consistently makes an impact with his vigor and attacking purpose, might then make his debut. Oriol Romeu and Gavi would preferably fill the other two midfield positions for Barcelona. Sergi Roberto might possibly join the squad if Xavi chooses to rest both Romeu and Gavi.

Attack

Robert Lewandowski’s ankle sprain, which he sustained as a result of a harsh tackle during the team’s visit to Porto, is the latest significant injury. Fortunately, there is an international break, so he won’t miss many games. Raphinha’s injury will make the Barcelona forward line even more flimsy in his absence.

Lamine Yamal and Joao Felix are the owners of the wings, so it is crucial to keep them healthy until Raphael and Lewandowski get back. Expect both of them to be replaced if Barça secures the victory early, and we should all join forces to hope that they return unscathed from the international break.
