PSG are unwilling to let Lionel Messi exhibit the World Cup

But he fell short of Mbappe’s 8 goals in the Golden Boot race as the former finished his glorious campaign with 7 goals. Mbappe scored a hattrick at the Fifa World Cup final as France made a brilliant comeback after trailing by 2 goals to none.

The possible Greatest Footballer of all time seemed to be enjoying in his hometown, Rosario. The Argentine national team including Messi enjoyed their victory parade in Buenos Aires. The country has been in a festive mood after their World Cup win after 36 years.

According to reports from GOAL, Lionel Messi is eager to bring the trophy to PSG’s home ground. He wants to present it before the game. But as his team defeated none but France and PSG also being a French club, they fear any backlash that might happen if Messi presents the World Cup trophy.

Also, the Argentine has been criticized a lot for not standing against the rude behavior of the Argentine team. Kylian Mbappe, the star of the French national team has been receiving negative behavior from Argentine fans and also Emiliano Martinez. The Golden Glove winner previously mocked Mbappe by holding a doll with Mbappe’s head and celebrating.

Similarly, people in France have been quite negative towards the Argentine great. Messi’s white PSG jersey is shown to be used as a doormat.

Paris Saint-Germain are tipped to resume their season with a home game against Strasburg. It will be interesting to see the club’s attitude towards Messi after he returns.
