According to a report, Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Benjamin Sesko for a transfer this summer. The youngster named as new Haaland has returned to Red Bull Salzburg after his two-year loan spell ended with FC Liefering.
The 18-year-old played for NK Krsko and NK Domzale at youth ranks during 2017-2019. While following his development the Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg signed the player on July 1, 2019. However, Sesko was immediately sent on a two-year loan to FC Liefering a few days after his arrival.
Sesko had put up a good show in his last two seasons playing for Liefering as the club finished 3rd in 2019/20 and 2nd in 2020/21. While the youngster scored 22 goals and assisted 6 goals in 44 appearances.
The forward is now back at Salzburg after his loan deal ended in June and is looked upon as the main striking option for the Austrian club. However, the plan may change as Real Madrid have shown interest in landing Sesko this summer. This season, Madrid wants to inject a new forward in the final third and found Sesko as a viable and cheap option.

Real Madrid’s downfall last season as they went trophyless is not a shock for anyone. The team lacked inform and fit players all through the season. Following which they signed a new manager, fitness coach, and a new defender. However, Madrid are yet to solve the problem regarding the final third.
Los Blancos had only Karim Benzema in terms of scoring goals while Eden Hazard was side-lined due to injury. However, it’s not just Hazard as Madrid have a long list of out-of-form forwards. Which includes Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo Silva, Marco Asensio, and Mariano Diaz.
Following this situation, the La Liga giants need to urgently sign a striking option for the next season. The Spanish giants were after Kylian Mbappe but the Frenchman cannot be signed this season due to his high price. But as an alternative option Real Madrid have identified Benjamin Sesko this summer.
Sesko has been an emerging talent in the last two seasons and it would be a good investment for Real Madrid to make. The teenage prodigy is a cheap option as compared to Mbappe and could be a good fit in the final third for Madrid. However, Real Madrid are yet to make any official approach with RB Salzburg regarding Benjamin Sesko. So, let’s wait and see if Real Madrid will strike a deal for the new Haaland or not.
