The team is looking stronger than ever with Benzema also returning from injury. It is fair to say that they had an easy UCL group as compared to other teams. But apart from that, they are firing in La Liga with Vinicius, Rodrygo, and Valverde leading from the front. Barcelona are the only team who have scored more than Los Blancos. The El Clasico on 16th October is going to be a huge game that may give a hint about who will get the title.
Apart from all this action on the pitch, Real Madrid had a pretty much silent transfer window. Casemiro left for Manchester United but Ancelotti has new signing Tchaoumeni to praise. Florentino Perez has really made up his mind that the future as well as the present must be secured as time goes on.
But this weekend is a clash that the world awaits. Barcelona travels to the Santiago Bernabeu to take on arch-rivals Real Madrid. The biggest game in world football will be massive as both teams will do anything for the 3 points. Real Madrid are having a great run of form as they have been unbeaten the whole season. Barcelona, however, have had a spree of disappointing results with the defeat against Inter Milan and Bayern Munich making life difficult for them. But they come into this match with full confidence but a half squad. Many players on the team are still out due to injuries.
Courtois wants to return for the Clasico
Real Madrid themselves will be short of 2 major players. Tony Rudiger suffered a head injury in their game against Shaktar. But the most notable absentee so far is Thibaut Courtois who is injured for 2 weeks. The Belgian picked up a knock in training and has missed all of the matches so far. But one match he desperately wants to feature in is the El Clasico.
Last time, Real Madrid conceded 4 goals at home in what was a vintage game by Barcelona. This time around, Courtois wants to play and show why he is probably the best keeper in the world. The Belgian has had a match-winning performance and it is no doubt when he plays, he is the best. But reports say something different from what the Belgian wants. His tests say that it would not be possible for Courtois to make it in time for the Clasico.
