About Football Express India - Indian Super League - I-League

Real Madrid eyeing a January move for Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi. The La Liga giants are reportedly monitoring the situation of the Leicester City Midfielder. According to reports, Carlo Ancelotti is an admirer of the Nigerian International. The 13-time UEFA Champions League winners want to bring the Midfielder into their team. Real Madrid sees the player as a long-term replacement for Casemiro.

The 24-year-old Midfielder arrived at the King Power Stadium from Genk during the Winters of 2017. Since then the Nigerian has made 187 appearances for the Premier League outfit. He found the back of the Net 9 times and provided 11 assists since making his debut in 2017.

As reported by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Leicester City have put a price tag of €60 Million on the Nigerian. The 24-year-old’s progress has not gone unnoticed as Real Madrid are one of his long-term suitors. Signing for the Los Blancos is a dream for a lot of Footballers out there. The 2015/16 Premier League Champions are facing an uphill battle to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League this term.

Current Premier League Standings

Ndidi would not mind moving to the Spanish capital where a Champions League berth is Guaranteed. However, the Foxes under Brendan Rodgers are well on course to move to the next rounds of the UEFA Europa League this season.

Real Madrid are ready to launch a bid for Wilfred Ndidi as Casemiro is heading towards an Exit

Recent reports have also suggested that Brazilian midfielder Casemiro could soon be on his way out of the Santiago Bernabeu. Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United will try to sign the Brazilian who has won 4 UEFA Champions League titles with Real Madrid.

However, Real Madrid might not be alone in pursuit of the Nigerian midfielder, who has recently been linked with Manchester United. Signing Ndidi won’t be cheap as Leicester City are set to demand €60 million in exchange for his services.

Ndidi, who recently missed four Premier League matches due to a hamstring problem, has a contract at the King Power Stadium until June 2024.

However, Real Madrid might not be willing to pay €60 million to secure the services of Ndidi. If not, they could set their sights elsewhere, with Joao Palhinha, Ruben Neves and Marcelo Brozovic among their targets for the holding midfield slot.
