Real Madrid’s urgency for full-backs
At present, Real Madrid has a problem with their full-back. As a result, it was no surprise that they were monitoring Joao Cancelo, who was considered one of the best full-backs in the world up until a few months ago. However, Cancelo will be joining Bayern Munich on loan, according to reports. It is likely that the deal will include a buy option.
Having Cancelo’s situation at Manchester City completely changed in such a short period of time is remarkable. Pep Guardiola’s team considered him an undroppable player just a few months ago. Now Manchester City has to compete in EPL without Cancelo if they hope to close down their gap with Arsenal. He struggled for game time after the World Cup break and is now on his way out on loan.
As a result of Cancelo’s signing, Real Madrid now have missed two full-back targets, after Malo Gusto joined Chelsea a few days ago. It is also believed that Pedro Porro and Ivan Fresneda are close to moving.
