Real Madrid monitoring Federico Chiesa amidst Juventus controversy

Chiesa

In a report by Spanish outlet Fichajes, Real Madrid are eyeing Federico Chiesa. Considering the latest controversy plaguing Juventus, Real Madrid might want to sign Chiesa in the summer transfer window. He is worth €60 million on the market.

Federico Chiesa is among the best wingers in Serie A. He rose to prominence during his stint with La Viola, as a Fiorentina academy graduate. Even though he has been suffering from a long-term knee injury, he has improved steadily since joining Juventus.

A two-year loan agreement with Juventus ended in the summer. Chiesa may not have had any qualms about joining Juventus permanently. Although he has been out of action for several months, the player has been able to score one goal and contribute two assists in just 254 minutes. Real Madrid has taken notice of Chiesa’s brilliance.

Chiesa to Real Madrid?

The recent controversy at Juventus has raised questions about possible departures in the summer transfer window. Due to dubious financial dealings, the Serie A giants have a mountain to climb after their 15 points deduction. In the summer, Juventus may be able to cash in on Chiesa’s market value of €60 million.

Madrid may be willing to pay around €60 million if Serie A giants demand a similar price. With Juventus’ financial woes, Real Madrid should be able to afford the Italian international. Asensio has yet to sign a new contract at Real Madrid, while Hazard faces an uncertain future. According to recent reports, Los Blancos may offer the former a three-year contract. A renewal agreement is still a long way off. In the meantime, Hazard’s days as a Real Madrid player seem close to ending.

Exequiel Zeballos, for example, has thus become a target of Real Madrid. Likewise, Chiesa would be a good option for the La Liga champions.

Whether Juventus need to sell Chiesa and if they pay anything close to €60 million for him will be interesting to see.
