Real Madrid may loan out Sergio Arribas
According to a new rumour from MARCA (via Madrid Xtra), Arribas may depart Real Madrid this summer, either on loan or on a permanent deal with a buyback option. Arribas has been in excellent form for Raul Gonzalez’s Castilla this season. The wonderkid scored 15 goals and providing seven assists in 31 league appearances to help the club’s promotion campaign. This season, the dynamic offensive midfielder has made three appearances for Carlo Ancelotti’s club, scoring a goal against Al Ahly in the FIFA Club World Cup semi-finals in Morocco.
It had previously been rumoured that Real Madrid were considering elevating Arribas to the first squad next season. However Marco Asensio, Dani Ceballos, Toni Kroos, and Luka Modric’s contract renewal will soon take place. In addition Brahim Diaz poised to return from his loan term at AC Milan. The 21-year-old prodigy may struggle for opportunities in Ancelotti’s squad. As a result, Los Blancos may decide to loan Arribas out or sell him while including a repurchase clause in the contract. A strategy they have used with numerous of their young players in the past. Sergio Arribas is anticipated to join Getafe, Rayo Vallecano or Girona on loan from Real Madrid next season. According to a new Revelo evaluation, Girona remain the frontrunners due to their possession-based attacking strategy.
Girona are favourites in the race for signing Arribas
It has already been claimed that Arribas is being pursued by Girona, Los Blancos’ fellow La Liga club. Last season, the 21-year-old signed a new contract with Real Madrid, extending his tenure until 2025. The club has big hopes for the Spanish playmaker and does not want to hinder his speedy development. The plan is to loan him out for one season so he can get lots of playing time in Spain’s top league. Getafe was regarded to be the club most likely to win the Arribas race at first, but Girona are now the favourites. It needs to be seen what the future holds for the 21-year-old Spaniard, who has been predicted by club officials for immense success.
